For those of you who are interested in hearing my story I would like to share it with you because my life is quite literally changing thanks to this website.

I am in fact a filmmaker who has worked for years in the film and television industries in different positions while making short films in my spare time. My long term commitment is to make films and not necessarily the commercial type which is not my main passion – something it took me a long time to discover.

Working in the film industry demanded long hours and consumed most of my energy for a number of years and the simple truth of the matter is that I was not progressing where I wanted to go.

Eventually I got married and to make matters even worse, my wife is an artist! So there we were, two talented people believing in ourselves but not selling art and film in order to sustain a living.

We decided to make a website, design characters and try to sell through the internet. It was an absolute failure!

No visitors, no sales. Period.

So with great passion and zeal I ordered books about internet marketing from Amazon, read them and tried to apply my newfound knowledge. I searched and searched site after site for the best information on how to proceed.

There are 108 million websites in the world and 29.7 billion pages in total on the World Wide Web…

One day, about the time my wife and I were preparing to give up, I stumbled across a page called Site Build It! that I had never heard of before.

I read about what they offer and searched for information like never before and decided that I would give it a go. Deeply skeptical by the way.

That was three months ago and here I am today with the site that you are currently visiting. The very fact that you're here means that something is working.

The number of visitors to my site is increasing week after week and it is beginning to earn revenue.

Summarized, Site Build It! is a one-stop system for building a website (without any html or design skills) about a topic that you are passionate about (Medellin in my case), providing excellent content for the visitors that keep coming and coming and earning money by doing so.

So that is how Medellin-Travel-Guide.com came about and here I am today.

Lastly, I want to add that I was accepted to the San Francisco Art Institute to begin studying there this fall as an MFA student in filmmaking. At the back of my mind I know that my site is an important key to paying for my education.
